The Webster University women's tennis team finished out its 'official' fall schedule with a loss to McKendree University, 6-3.  The Bearcats, an NCAA II member, defeated the Gorloks on September 14, in Belleville, IL.  Webster's Marissa Lewis will head into the spring portion of the 2014-15 schedule with a 16-match win streak at #1 singles with her victory today.

The Gorloks fell into a 0-3 hole with losses at all three doubles matchups.  Webster rallied to win the #s 1-3 singles matches, but dropped #s 4-6 for the 6-3 final in the loss.  Lewis (SR, Owasso, OK/Owasso HS), had a battle with McKendree's #1, but still won in straight sets.  Lewis finishes the fall 5-0.  Freshman Monica Behrle (Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) completed an undefeated fall at singles at well, winning in straight sets at #2 and finishing the fall at 6-0.

Kaylen Kress (JR, Bartlett, IL/Bartlett HS) picked up Webster's other win, coming back to win at #3 singles after dropping the first set.  Webster is 2-1 on the year and will play an exhibition match vs. Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL, on September 18.  The complete results from the match with McKendree are listed below.
