Women's Basketball Becomes 'Pink Zone' on Feb. 14

When the Webster women's basketball team takes on Blackburn College on February 14, Grant Gymnasium will become a 'Pink Zone'.  In cooperation with the Webster University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the Gorloks will give fans various opportunities to make contributions toward breast cancer research.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to show their support of the fight against breast cancer by wearing something pink as well.  Activities will include a 50/50 raffle and sale of items to help raise funds to go towards breast cancer research. The Webster basketballl team will sport pink as part of its uniforms for the afternoon.

Admission to the game is free, but donations will be accepted and all proceeds from the game will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The women's game tips off at 1:00 p.m.  The Webster University men's team will be playing Blackburn also with a 3:00 p.m. game time.

Please join the Webster University women's basketball team in the fight against breast cancer on February 14.  What a better way to spend a Valentine's Day afternoon...watching exciting Gorlok basketball and helping out a good cause.
