The Webster University men's tennis team travelled to Chicago, IL, for a pair of matches on February 28.  The Gorloks lost the first match to host North Central College, 7-2, and beat Dominican University (IL) in a thriller, 6-3, in the second.

Against Dominican, five of the six singles matches were decided in tie-breaker sets, with the Gorloks winning three.  Travis Blair (JR, Jerseyville, IL/Jerseyville HS) and Carlton Poindexter (SR, Florissant, MO/McCluer North HS) both were 2-0 in singles play on the afternoon. 

Webster is (1-2) on the season.  The Gorloks' first home, and outdoor match, will be on March 5 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center when Webster hosts Cornell College (IA).  The team has two weeks off then before resuming play with its first conference match, at Fontbonne University on March 19.
