The Webster University men's tennis team was on the winning end of a 9-0 match vs. Illinois College, but finished the afternoon with a 9-0 loss to Judson College (IL) to settle for a split.  The matches took place in Jacksonville, IL, on March 21.  The Gorloks kept their record even on the season at 3-3 with the split.

The Gorloks had an easy time vs. the Blue Boys, losing no games in seven of the match wins, including no games in a sweep of the doubles matchups.  Travis Blair (JR, Jerseyville, IL/Jerseyville HS) and Carlton Poindexter (SR, Florissant, MO/McCluer North HS) both improved to 4-1 with wins at #1 and #4 singles, respectively. 

Unfortunately, both Blair and Poindexter would see their records fall to 4-2 in the day's second match vs. Judson, both losing in tie-breaker sets.  Both of Blair's first two sets went to tie-breakers before losing the tie-breaker set itself.  Poindexter fell, 9-11, in a tie-breaker set.

The Gorloks travel to Elsah,IL, to take on Principia College on March 24.  Results for today's matches:
