The Webster University men's tennis team had no problem coming off a two-week break, handily defeating Fontbonne University, 8-1, on March 15 in Clayton, MO.  The Gorloks swept the doubles and won five of six of the singles.

In doubles, the Gorloks lost only one game in the three matches total.  Webster won at #2 through #5 singles in straight sets, four of the five not losing a single game. Freshman Ian Powers (Farmington, MO/Farmington HS) had the tough task of taking on Fontbonne's #1 and fell 6-2, 7-5, but combined with Juan Granizo (JR, Quito, Ecuador (Colegio Alberto Einstein) to win 8-0 at #1 doubles.

Webster is 2-1 after the non-conference win over the Griffins.  The Gorloks travel to Galesburg, IL, on March 19 to face Simpson College (IA) and Wisconsin Lutheran College.
