The Webster University men's tennis team won its third straight match, shutting out Fontbonne University, 9-0, on April 12 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center. The Gorloks swept all six singles pairings in straight sets.
Charles McGee (FR, Waterloo, IL/Waterloo HS) won his fourth straight singles match and is 10-2 on the season. Juan Granizo (JR, Quito, Ecuador/Colegio Alberto Einstein) and Trent Purnell (SR, Marion, IL/ Marion HS) each won their third straight singles matches. Granizo is 10-2 on the year and Purnell is 8-4 in singles play.
McGee and Zach Selby (SR, Redding, CA/Enterprise HS) won their third straight doubles match as partners with their 8-2 win at #2
Webster improves to 2-3 in the SLIAC and 8-4 overall. This completes the regular season for the men with its next action coming in the SLIAC tournament on April 22-23 at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park in St. Louis.
