The Webster University men's tennis team lost to Westminster College, 7-2, on April 12 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center. The Blue Jays took command with a 3-0 lead after doubles play, and taking four of six singles, defeated the Gorloks.
Charles McGee (SO, Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) and Eric Bateman (SR, Maryland Heights, MO/Pattonville) were the lone victors for Webster. McGee won in a tie-breaker in the third set, 10-5, to win at #4 singles and Bateman won in straight sets at #6.
Webster is now 1-2 in the SLIAC and 1-4 overall on the season. Westminster is 2-1 and 3-5 overall. The Gorloks travel to Jacksonville, IL, to play Illinois College on April 14.
