The Webster University men's tennis team lost to Central Christian College, 8-1, on April 7 in Fulton, MO. The Gorloks fell to the Tigers, an NAIA athletic scholarship program, at host Westminster College.
The Gorloks were swept in the doubles by the Tigers, falling into a 3-0 hole, and salvaged a lone point when Eric Bateman (SR, Maryland Heights, MO/Pattonville) won in a tie-breaker at #5 singles.
Webster is 1-0 in the SLIAC and 1-1 overall. Central Christian College is located in McPherson, KS.
The Gorloks host Principia College on April 8 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center, then Illinois College on April 11. Full result for the match were:
