Wednesday's Basketball Doubleheader at Westminster Pushed Back to Thursday

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster College has announced that its men's and women's home basketball doubleheader on Wednesday, Feb. 12 with Webster University has been postponed due to the weather and rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13 at Henry P. Iba Court in the Historic Gym on the Westminster campus. 

The game times for Thursday's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader will remain the same as Wednesday's original scheduled date as the women's game will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m. 

Webster enters Thursday's women's game with Westminster tied atop the league standings with Fontbonne as both teams are sporting a 12-2 league record with four games left in the regular season, while in the men's game, Webster holds a two game lead over Greenville and is three games in front of both Fontbonne and Blackburn. 

The Gorlok women enter the Westminster game having won 10 of its last 11 games and is sporting a 14-7 overall record and is 12-2 in the SLIAC, while the Gorlok men have won six consecutive games and 11 of its last 12 games overall to sport a 13-8 overall record and a 12-2 mark in the league. 

It marks the second straight Wednesday that Webster has had a basketball game postponed due to the weather as last week's doubleheader at Fontbonne was pushed back from Wednesday to Thursday due to the weather. 

Following Thursday's game at Westminster, the Gorloks will remain on the road this coming Saturday, Feb. 15 as they travel to Carlinville, Ill., for a SLIAC doubleheader against Blackburn College. The women's game will begin at 1 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 3 p.m.
