www.websterathletics.com for the remainder of the 2020 spring semester. The third edition of the Webster Senior Spotlight recognizes
Kyle Goessler (men's track and field) and
Darian Morlan (softball).
Kyle Goessler • Sr. / Imperial, Mo. (Seckman HS) / Men's Track & Field
Goessler has been a four-year participant in track and field at Webster… has mostly competed in the long jump with the Gorloks… holds both the indoor track and outdoor track records in the long jump… the indoor long jump, set a new school record at the 2018 Missouri Collegiate (21'04.75") and in the outdoor long jump, set a new record at the 2018 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships (22'05.25")… is a two-time All-SLIAC selection in the outdoor long jump as he was the conference runner-up in the event in both 2018 and 2019… as a freshman in 2016-17, was named the SLIAC Field Athlete of the Week on April 10… a native of Imperial, Mo., he attended Seckman High School and is majoring in Sports Communication at Webster… works as a student worker in the Webster Sports Information Office.

Darian Morlan • Sr. / Catcher / Duchesne, Utah (Trinidad State) / Softball
Morlan has been a part of the Gorlok softball team the past two seasons… since joining Webster in 2019, she has played in 41 games and made 40 starts, including playing in and starting 10 games this season… in her time as a Gorlok, she has a .265 career batting average and has recorded 27 hits, scored 13 runs, hit four doubles and has had 10 RBI… this season, she hit .118 with two hits and two runs scored and struck out once in 17 at-bats… had a career high three hits last season against Fontbonne and tallied a career high 3 RBI against the Coast Guard Academy last season in Florida during the Gorloks' spring break trip… has served as the team's primary catcher the past two seasons… a native of Duchesne, Utah, Morlan came to Webster from Trinidad State (Colo.) Junior College and is majoring in Biology.
