2010s All-Decade Teams: Men's Basketball

Over the next several weeks, Webster University Athletics Department will be releasing its All-Decade Teams of the 2010s. For a full schedule of the teams set to be released, click here.
 
WEBSTER GROVES – Webster University Athletics has begun unveiling of its All-Decade Teams from the 2010s as it compiles the best student-athletes across the past 10 seasons (2010-19) in each of Webster's intercollegiate athletic teams. Our seventh team to be unveiled is the 2010-19 All-Decade Men's Basketball Team.
 
During the decade, the Gorloks had tremendous success as they won five regular season St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles (2010-11, 2011-12, 2014-15, 2018-19, 2019-20), captured three SLIAC Tournament titles (2011, 2015 and 2020) and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2010-11, 2014-15 and 2019-20. The Gorloks posted a 156-108 overall record and a 126-47 mark in SLIAC play, including winning at least 15 league games in three of the 10 years of the decade.
 
Along with the team successes on the court during the decade, that success also brought recognition for Webster's players as 14 of the 15 players on the All-Decade Team earned All-SLIAC honors a combined 23 times, including earning first team honors 13 times and one player, Ahmad Smith, taking home All-SLIAC honors three times in the decade. In addition, two members of the All-Decade Team earned NABC All-District honors and one of those All-Region players - Stefan Whittingham – earned Honorable Mention D3 News All-American honors and three players – Josh Johnson, Enrique Tankins and Stefan Whittingham – earned either SLIAC Player or Defensive Player of the Year accolades.
 
Additionally, eight members of the All-Decade Team earned a combined nine SLIAC All-Tournament honors, including Roman Robinson being selected twice and one player, Willie Trimble, was named the SLIAC Tournament MVP in 2010-11. In addition, the All-Decade Team members were named a combined 11 times to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team, including Hollis Edwards being selected to the All-Defensive Team three times.
 
The members of the All-Decade Team earned a combined 15 SLIAC Player of the Week accolades and two D3Hoops.com Team of the Week honors, while the members of the All-Decade Team earned a combined 25 SLIAC Player of the Week accolades as they earned 11 Offensive Player of the Week honors and 14 Defensive Player of the Week honors and four players surpassed 1,000 career points in a Gorlok uniform during the decade with Ahmad Smith (1,343 points), Josh Johnson (1,255 points), Hunter Ward (1,167 points) and Enrique Tankins (1,028 points) all surpassing the plateau during the 2010s.   
 
Listed below is the 15-member Webster Athletics Men's Basketball Team of the Decade for the 2010s. Players were selected by head coach Chris Bunch and are listed alphabetically.
 
Cody Bradfisch (Grafton, Ill. – 2009-13)
Bradfisch's Career Stats
Bradfisch was a member of the Gorloks to open the decade as he lettered at Webster from 2009-10 through 2012-13 and in his time as a Gorlok, he earned Honorable Mention All-SLIAC honors as junior in 2011-12. In addition to earning All-SLIAC honors in 2011-12, Bradfisch was also named a three-time SLIAC Winter All-Academic Team selection and named to the NABC Honors Court in both 2011-12 and 2012-13. He also earned the SLIAC Sportsmanship Award in 2012-13 and earned a SLIAC Player of the Week accolade in 2010-11. During his Webster career, he saw action in 93 games and made 39 starts and tallied 867 points, 249 rebounds, 141 assists and 62 steals and holds the school's career mark for 3-point field goal percentage (39.9 percent). Along with holding the school's all-time mark in 3-point field goal percentage, he is ninth in career made 3-pointers (123), 12th in career 3-point attempts (308), 15th in career made free throws (164), 17th in career minutes played (1,970) and 18th in career points scored (867).  
 
Hollis Edwards (Nashville, Tenn. – 2010-14)
Edwards' Career Stats
Edwards played the first four years of the decade and in those four years, he was named an All-SLIAC selection as a senior in 2013-14. Along with earning All-SLIAC honors in 2013-14, he was a three-time selection to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team in 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14. In his time as a Gorlok, Edwards played in 106 games and made 65 starts. He holds the school's career record for steals with 185 and he also scored 508 points, pulled down 177 rebounds and dished out 246 assists. His 10 assists against Greenville in 2014 is tied for third on the school's single game chart, while his seven steals at Spalding in 2012 are tied for fourth on the school's single game chart. Along with holding the school record for career steals, he also holds the school record for career games played with 106 and he is seventh in career assists (246) and 10th in career minutes played (2,316). He collected 74 steals in 2013-14 and that is second on the school's single season chart, while his 27 starts in 2013-14 are tied for third on the school's single season chart.
 
Rodson Etienne (West Palm Beach, Fla. – 2017-present)
Etienne's Career Stats
The only current member of the Gorloks to earn a spot on the All-Decade Team, Etienne has earned All-SLIAC honors the past two seasons as he was a second team honoree in 2019-20 and a third team selection in 2018-19. Along with earning two All-SLIAC selections, he was named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2020 and was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team in 2018-19. During the 2018-19 season, Etienne was both a SLIAC Player of the Week and a D3Hoops.com Team of the Week honoree. In his career, he has scored 986 points and is just 14 points shy of becoming the 14th player in school history to join the 1,000-Point Club. He has also pulled down 368 rebounds and has blocked 54 shots and holds the school's career record for field goal percentage at 59.2 percent in 78 career games. In addition, he is fifth in career field goals made (433) and his 61.5 field goal percentage in 2019-20 is fourth on the school's single season chart. As a sophomore in 2018-19, he scored 40 points in a win against Greenville and those 40 points are the fourth most points scored in a game in school history and Etienne is one of just three players in school history to score 40 or more points in a game and the other two players – Jeff Reis and Ryan Turk – are both in the Webster Athletics Hall of Fame.
 
Josh Johnson (St. Louis, Mo. – 2016-20)
Johnson's Career Stats
Johnson played the final four years of the decade and was a two-time First-Team All-SLIAC selection in 2018-19 and 2019-20 and earned SLIAC Player of the Year honors in 2019-20. Along with his two All-SLIAC accolades, Johnson was named a Second-Team NABC All-District selection in 2019-20 and was named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2019. In addition, he shared the 2019-20 Webster Athletics Male Student-Athlete of the Year and was a two-time selection to the Webster Classic All-Tournament Team in 2018-19 and 2019-20. During his four year career, he played in 80 games and made 74 starts and tallied 1,255 points, which is fifth on the school's all-time list. Along with scoring 1,255 points, he holds the school record for career free throw percentage (88.6 percent) and is second in career 3-point field goal percentage (39.6 percent), third in career free throws made (279) and is fourth in career 3-point field goals made (166). He also ranks in the career Top 10 charts in 3-point field goal attempts (419), games started (74), scoring average (15.7), field goals attempted (940), minutes played (2,451), field goal percentage (43.1 percent) and assists (236). Johnson also holds the school's single-season mark for free throw percentage as he shot 90.3 percent from the line in 2018-19. Over the final three years of his career, he scored a total of 1,244 points, including scoring 450 and 483 points respectively the past two seasons.
 
Evan Milligan (Evansville, Ind. – 2015-17)
Milligan's Career Stats
Near the end of the decade, Milligan played two seasons (2015-17) for the Gorloks and in those two seasons, he earned First-Team All-SLIAC honors in 2016-17. Along with the first team All-SLIAC accolade, he also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team in 2017 and was a member of the SLIAC All-Defensive Team in 2016-17. Milligan was known for his defensive prowess as he played in 50 games and made 32 starts and in those 50 games, he recorded 88 blocked shots, pulled down 256 rebounds and scored 560 points. His 88 blocks are third on the school's all-time chart. In addition, he blocked 57 shots in 2016-17, which is fourth on the school's single season chart and his nine blocks against Greenville in 2016 is second most in a game in school history.   
 
Kevin Miller (Belleville, Ill. – 2008-10, '13-14)
Miller's Career Stats
Miller's career at Webster spanned two decades as he played two seasons in the 2000s and then completed his career in 2013-14. In his time as a Gorlok, he was named a First-Team All-SLIAC selection in 2013-14 and also earned a spot on the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2014. In addition, he was named to the Earlaustinjr.com All-Area Second Team in 2014. After scoring just a combined 81 points in his first two seasons, Miller tallied 409 points in 2013-14 and also pulled down 234 rebounds, blocked 21 shots and shot 55 percent from the field. He played in 47 games and 31 starts as a Gorlok, including tying a single season school record with 28 starts in 2013-14. During the 2013-14 season, he recorded nine double-doubles, which are tied for sixth on the school's single season chart and those nine double-doubles are also fifth on the school's career double-double chart.
 
C.J. Moore (Homestead, Fla. – 2013-17)
Moore's Career Stats
Moore played all four years in the decade and earns his spot on the All-Decade Team after playing in 101 games and making 67 starts. In his 101 career games, he scored 871 points and those 871 points are 17th on the school's all-time list. As a sophomore in 2014-15, he was named to the Cavallo Classic All-Tournament Team. Along with scoring 871 points, he also pulled down 212 rebounds, had 172 assists and 153 steals. He is fourth on the school's all-time steals chart, eighth in career games played, ninth in career games started, 15th in career minutes played (2,061) and 16th in career field goals made (353). In 2014, he collected seven steals at Loras College and those seven steals are tied for fourth on the school's single game chart. His 52 steals in 2014-15 are tied for 11th on the school's single season chart.
 
Drew Moore (Dittmer, Mo. – 2009-11)
Moore's Career Stats
Moore, who lettered for two years as a Gorlok, was a two-time All-SLIAC selection, including earning First-Team All-SLIAC honors as a senior in 2010-11. Along with earning two All-SLIAC selections, he was also named to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team in both 2009-10 and 2010-11 and earned a SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolade in 2010-11. As a Gorlok, Moore played in 47 games and made 37 starts and he tallied 538 points, 312 rebounds, 56 blocked shots, 97 assists and 85 steals. He ranks 10th on the school's all-time chart in blocks and is tied for 20th in career steals and his 11.4 career scoring average is 19th in school history. 
 
Roman Robinson (Fairfield, Calif. – 2011-13)
Robinson's Career Stats
Robinson played just two seasons with the Gorloks and in those two seasons (2011-13), he earned First-Team All-SLIAC honors in both seasons – 2011-12 and 2012-13. Along with his two first team All-SLIAC accolades, the Merritt Community College transfer was also a two-time selection to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team and earned a spot on the SLIAC All-Defensive Team in 2012-13. He was also a Player of the Week in 2011-12 and named to the Cavallo All-Tournament Team in 2011-12. In his two years at Webster, Robinson played in 52 games and made 47 starts and he tallied 708 career points, pulled down 297 career rebounds, dished out 80 career assists and had 82 career steals. He shot 45 percent from the field and 71 percent from the free throw in his time as a Gorlok and he tallied 325 or more points in both of his seasons at Webster.
 
Ahmad Smith (St. Louis, Mo. – 2011-15)
Smith's Career Stats
The only All-Decade Team member to earn three All-SLIAC selections, Smith played early in the decade and along with earning three All-SLIAC accolades (2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15). In addition, he was also a two-time First-Team All-SLIAC honoree in both 2013-14 and 2014-15 and was a two-time SLIAC Player of the Week. Additionally, was named a Second-Team Earlaustinjr.com Second-Team All-Area selection in 2014-15. Another 1,000 point scorer in the decade, Smith tallied 1,343 career points and that is second on the school's all-time list. Along with being second on the school's all-time scoring chart, Smith, who played in 100 games and made 70 starts, is also second on the school's all-time chart in field goals made (500) and minutes played (2,718) and is third in career field goals attempted (1,058) and fifth in career free throws made (232). He also sits in the Top 10 on the school's all-time list for field goal percentage (47.3 percent), free throws attempted (314), games started (70), games played (100) and 3-point field goal attempts (329). Smith also scored 300 or more points in three of his four seasons, including tallying 459 points in 2013-14.
 
Enrique Tankins (Wentzville, Mo. – 2016-20)
Tankins' Career Stats
Perhaps one of the most complete and all-around players in school history, Tankins played the final four years in the decade and was a two-time All-SLIAC selection in both 2018-19 and 2019-20, including earning first team honors in 2019-20. Along with being a two-time All-SLIAC selection, Tankins became the inaugural winner of the SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019-20 and he was tabbed to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team in both 2018-19 and 2019-20. As a Gorlok, he played in 99 games and made 76 starts and he closed his four year Webster career having scored 1,028 points, pulling down 653 rebounds, dishing out 304 assists, blocking 97 shots and collecting 127 steals. He is second on the school's all-time rebound and blocked shot chart, fourth on the school's career assist chart and 10th on the school's all-time steal chart. Additionally, he ranks fifth in career minutes played (2,523) and 10th in career field goals made (411). Tankins also holds the school record for career double-doubles with 24 and his 12 double-doubles in 2019-20 is tied for second on the school's single season chart.
 
Willie Trimble (San Bernardino, Calif. – 2010-11)
Trimble's Career Stats
Despite playing just one season at Webster, Trimble made quite an impression in his one season in 2010-11. In 2010-11, Trimble, who was a transfer from Riverside Community College, was named a First-Team All-SLIAC selection, along with earning SLIAC Tournament MVP honors and also being selected to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team. During the season, he was named to Lon Varnell All-Classic Team and also was named the Cavallo Classic MVP. Additionally, he was a two-time SLIAC Player of the Week. In 2010-11, Trimble played 27 games and made 25 starts and tallied 410 points, 109 rebounds, 109 assists and 78 steals and shot 45 percent from the field, 39 percent from the 3-point line and 75 percent from the free throw line. His 78 steals are tops on the school's single season chart, while his 109 assists are ninth on the single season chart and 27 games played are tied for 11th on the single season chart. 
 
Hunter Ward (St. Louis, Mo. – 2013-17)
Ward's Career Stats
A two-time All-SLIAC selection, Ward is another four-year lettermen that earned All-SLIAC accolades in 2014-15 and 2015-16. Along with his two All-SLIAC honors, he was named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2014 and was a four-time SLIAC Player of the Week as he won two honors in both 2014-15 and 2015-16. In addition, he was also selected by Earlaustinjr,com All-Area Freshman of the Year in 2013-14. In his time at Webster, Ward played in 83 games and made 70 starts and scored 1,167 points, which is 10th on the school's all-time scoring chart. He also pulled down 569 rebounds, which is fifth on the school's all-time list and played 2,573 minutes, which is third on the school's all-time list. Additionally, he ranks seventh in career steals (137) and eighth in career assists (245) and shot 46.5 percent from the field, which is seventh all-time in school history and 74.5 percent from the free throw line, which is fifth on the school's all-time charts. Ward also recorded 16 career double-doubles, which is fourth on the school's career charts.
 
Stefan Whittingham (Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – 2010-12)
Whittingham's Career Stats
Despite playing only two seasons at Webster, Whittingham made an indelible mark as a Gorlok as he became just the second-ever Webster men's basketball player to earn All-America honors as he earned Honorable Mention honors from Division III News in 2011-12. Along with being an Honorable Mention All-American, Whittingham was a First-Team All-SLIAC selection and an NABC All-District selection that same season. Additionally, he also took home SLIAC Player of the Year accolades in 2011-12 and was a three-time SLIAC Player of the Week during the 2011-12 season. In his two seasons, he played in 41 games and made 26 starts and scored 459 points, pulled down 233 rebounds and dished out 50 assists. During his sophomore campaign in 2011-12, Whittingham scored in double figures in 21 games, including four games of scoring 20 or more points, including a career high 31 points at MacMurray. He also recorded nine double-doubles on the season, including pulling down 15 rebounds against both Westminster and Greenville and those 15 boards are tied for 19th on the single game chart. He shot 48 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free throw line in 2011-12.
 
Nigel Wilcox (Alpharetta, Ga. – 2017-19)
Wilcox's Career Stats
Wilcox played just two seasons at Webster in the latter half of the decade and in those two years, he was a two-time All-SLIAC selection, including earning first team honors in 2018-19. Noted for his defense, Wilcox was a two-time selection to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team and was also named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2018-19. In addition, he took home the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year accolade as a freshman in 2017-18. In his time at Webster, Wilcox played in 50 games and made 48 starts and in those 50 games, he scored 675 points, pulled down 458 rebounds and blocked 128 shots. The 128 blocks are tops in school history, while his career rebounding average of 9.2 boards per game is second in school history. He recorded 18 double-doubles in his career and that is second-most in school history, while his 12 double-doubles in 2018-19 are tied for second on the school's single season chart. His 458 career rebounds are eighth in school history, while his 70 blocks in 2018-19 are second on the school's single season chart. During his career, he shot 57 percent from the field, including shooting 62.7 percent from the field in 2017-18 and that is second on the school's single season list. He pulled down 21 rebounds at Blackburn in 2019, which is tied for second on the school's single game chart, while his eight blocks against Blackburn in 2018 are third on the school's single game list.
