KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Over the weekend, members of the men's tennis team traveled to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to compete in the ITA Central Regional hosted by Kalamazoo (Mich.) College.
Riley Muren led the way for the Gorloks as he defeated Jamie Price in the opening round by final scores of 6-0 and 7-5. This win marks Muren's 44
th career win in singles which breaks Ricky Eaves career mark of 43 he set in 2013. Muren currently has an overall singles record of 44-24 throughout his career. After advancing to the round of 32, Muren was defeated by Rishil Kondapaneni by final scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
Carson Fisher also competed in the singles event for the Gorloks. Fisher was defeated in the first round by Pablo Gallart by final scores of 6-3 and 6-4, and then was defeated in the first round of the consolation bracket by Justin Penados by final scores of 6-2 and 6-4.

Riley Muren represented the Gorloks in the doubles portion of the event. After dropping their first match to Derek Hsieh and Christian Alshon by a final score of 8-0, they were able to defeat Sebastian Cowan and Whitman Hopper in the first round of the consolation bracket by a final score of 8-6. They then went on to defeat Jake McDivitt and Jamie Price by a final score of 8-7 (8-6), before falling to Javier Suarez and Ramon Vilarroig by a final score of 8-1.
This marks the end of the fall season for the men's tennis team. They will return to the court in the spring.
