Aamahn Murvin scored the game-winner in the 53rd minute to lead the Webster University men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Trine University Saturday at World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton, Mo.

Isaac Pearson in the 53rd minute for the lone goal of the contest. The goal for Murvin was his second of the season and 28th of his career, fourth most in school history. He also moved into fourth all-time in points (68), while the game-winner was his 12th, second most in Gorlok history.
Webster improved to 2-0 with the win, while Trine dropped to 1-1. The Gorloks are off to a 2-0 start for the second-consecutive season, and are 14-1-1 in their last 16 games dating back to last season.
Junior goalkeeper
Jacob Klevorn was exceptional in goal for the Gorloks in his first career start, making four saves.
Murvin's goal at 52:06 came on just the second shot of the game by the Gorloks. He nearly made it 2-0 six minutes later when his header inside the box went off the near post.
The Gorloks continued to press trying to make it a two-goal advantage, and junior
Colby Kapp had a point-blank shot in the 65th minute that Trine goalkeeper Luis Rodriquez came up with the diving save. Webster recorded three of the first four shots of the second half.
Trine outshot Webster 11-7, and the Thunder had a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Trine controlled possession early in the contest, and held a 7-1 shot advantage in the first half. Klevorn made a pair of saves in the opening half, including one in the 35th minute off a free kick from Trine's Tyler Murphy just outside the 18.
Webster travels down Big Bend to take on WashU on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.
