ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University women's basketball team earned the automatic bid for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and have solidified a spot in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball National Tournament. The Gorloks will play the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday, March 4
th at 5 p.m. in Memphis, Tennessee, at Rhodes (Tenn.) College.
The Gorloks earned the automatic bid for the national tournament after winning the SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament for the fifth time in school history. They are currently 25-0 on the season and are one of just three teams entering the tournament undefeated. Mary Hardin-Baylor earned an at-large bid and enter the tournament with a 22-4 overall record on the season.
Rhodes (Tenn.) College and East Texas Baptist University complete the four-team pod with Rhodes as the host. The winner of the game between Webster and Mary Hardin-Baylor and the winner between Rhodes and East Texas Baptist will meet on Saturday, March 5
th at 5 p.m. at Rhodes College.
Tickets to the game will be $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 12 and younger.
