ROLLA, Mo. – The Webster University men's and women's track and field team was back in action this afternoon when they traveled to Rolla, Missouri, to compete in the Missouri S&T Last Chance Meet. The Gorloks did well in the meet as the men's team took fourth out of 12 teams with a team score of 47 points while the women's team took second out of 12 teams with a team score of 50 points.
Elijah Perez led the way for Webster as he broke the school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.52 seconds to break the previous record of 10.54 seconds that was set by
Jacob Ridenhour in 2019. He also took third in the 200-meter dash after finishing with a time of 21.99 seconds.
Sam Baker picked up the only first place finish for Webster as he took first place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:48.60. In addition,
Kaelin Triggs took third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.63,
Armond Williams took fourth in the high jump with a height of 1.89 meters,
Kaiden Klein took fifth in the javelin throw with a distance of 40.13 meters,
Cameron Sakuma took sixth in the 5000-meter with a time of 17:29.64,
Steven Aubuchon took sixth in the 100-meter with a time of 11.17 seconds, and
Joshua Clark took seventh in the 400-meter with a time of 52.63 seconds.

Danielle Schultz led the way for Webster on the women's side as she took first place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.55.
Vanessa Jones also had a great day as she took second place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.37 seconds and third place in the 200-meter run with a time of 27.67 seconds.
Micah Barnes also had a third-place finish as she took third in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:03.79. In addition,
Lilly Aguilar took fourth place in the discus throw with a distance of 30.37 meters,
Kianna Patton took fourth place in the long jump with a distance of 4.72 meters,
Jordan Lande finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.01 seconds,
Isabelle Llewellyn finished seventh in the javelin throw with a distance of 34.52 meters, and
Abigail Szydlowski placed fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 31.41 meters.

This marks the end of the 2022 Webster University outdoor track and field regular season. The Gorloks will wait to see if they have any national qualifiers when the fields are announced next week.
