TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Webster University men's track and field team was back in action this afternoon when they traveled to Terre Haute, Indiana, to compete in the ISU Open at Indiana State University. The Gorloks took seventh place with 11 points.
Austin Merritt and Mark Govero were the top scorers for Webster as they combined for eight of the teams 11 points. Merritt finished with two points in the high jump after finishing with a height of 1.69 meters and also captured two points in the long jump after finishing in sixth place with a distance of 5.24 meters. Govero captured four points in the pole vault after recording a personal record height of 4.06 meters.
Joshua Clark and
Armond Williams recorded the final three points for Webster as Clark took ninth in the 200-meter run with a time of 23.32 seconds to score one point while Williams finished in fifth place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.05 seconds to score two points.
Dylan Patterson also had a great day at the meet as he finished with two personal records. He set a new personal record in the 200-meter run with a time of 23.84 seconds while also setting a new personal record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.36 seconds.
Lastly,
Johnny Imboden set a new personal record in the mile run with a time of 5:02 and
Ethan Nieroda set a new personal record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:12.

The Gorloks will return to the track on February 24
th when they travel to Elsah, Illinois, to compete in the SLIAC Indoor Championships. The meet will take place at Principia (Ill.) College.
