Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Webster University men's tennis team was back in action yesterday when they traveled to Bloomington, Illinois, to take on Illinois Wesleyan University for a nonconference matchup. The Gorloks were defeated by the Titans by a final score of 6-3 to drop to 2-4 on the season. With the win, Illinois Wesleyan improves to 4-1 on the year.

Webster got off to a great start in doubles as they took two out of three points against the Titans. Matthew Birchmeier and Carson Fisher took care of business in #1 doubles as they defeated Ian Turnbull and Ryan McCoy by a final score of 8-4. Ethan Foucheaux and Tyler Gonzalez picked up the other point for Webster in doubles as they defeated Ben Vigneri and Zeke Cross in #2 doubles by a final score of 8-6. Robert McDaniel and Jack Forlenza were unable to complete the sweep in doubles as they fell in #3 doubles by a final score of 8-6.

The Gorloks had a tough time getting anything going in the singles portion of the match as Illinois Wesleyan scored five out of six points to solidify the win. Ethan Foucheaux picked up the only point for Webster in singles as he defeated Ben VIgneri in #2 singles by final score of 6-0 and 6-3.
