WAVERLY, Iowa – Three members of the men's and women's track and field team were back in action today when they traveled to Waverly, Iowa, to compete in the Wartburg NCAA Qualifier.
Isabelle Llewellyn was the lone female competitor for the Gorloks as she competed in the weight throw. Llewellyn took eighth place in the event after recording a distance of 14.42 meters.
Steven Aubuchon competed for the men's team in the 60-meter dash. He finished sixth overall in the preliminary race with a time of 7.09 seconds to qualify for the finals. He went on to place sixth in the finals with a time of 7.06 seconds. His final time of 7.06 seconds is his second fastest career time while his time of 7.09 seconds in the preliminaries was his third.
Joshua Clark was the final competitor for Webster as he competed in the 400-meter race. He took 12
th place in the race after finishing with a time of 51.56 seconds. His time of 51.56 seconds was Clarks fastest career time on a 200-meter track.
This marks the end of the indoor season for the men's and women's track and field season. The team will start their outdoor season on Friday, March 29
th when they travel to Fayette, Missouri, to compete in the CMU Invitational at Central Methodist (Mo.) University.
