WU’s Talha Dizdarevic Named SLIAC Offensive Player Of The Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletics Conference has released the names of the student-athletes who were named SLIAC Player of the Week for all fall sports. In the sport of men's soccer, the reigning 2023 SLIAC Newcomer of the Year and First-Team All-Conference selection in Talha Dizdarevic has been named SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week as he recorded all three of the team's goals during the week. 

The Gorloks opened the 2024 season against two Division II opponents in University of Missouri- St. Louis and Maryville University. In the decision against Maryville, Dizdarevic juked out the Saints goalkeeper for a tap in goal in the 65th minute which was his first goal of the season. 

In the matchup against a very talented Dominican University squad, Dizdarevic netted both of Webster's goals which came in the 72nd and 73rd minutes that earned the come-from-behind victory by the final score of 2-1.
