Women’s Track and Field Picked Fourth In SLIAC Preseason Poll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the preseason poll for the sport of Women's Track & Field. The Gorloks were picked to finish fourth with 41 points.

Webster returns five student-athletes from last year's squad which includes throwers Cali Pavlisko, Grace Rose, sprinters Aissata Kamara, and distance runner Brie Inman. In addition, the Gorloks are excited to welcome five new members to the program for the 2025-26 season which includes sprinters Sophia Cashion and Faith Scott and distance runners Averie Holifield, Violet Hill, and Lydia Imboden. Holifield will also throw for the Gorloks this season.

2025-26 SLIAC Indoor Performance List (As of 1/23):
With one indoor meet completed in the 2025-26 season, four Gorloks currently hold at least one top-10 ranking in five events. Pavlisko currently ranks first in the conference in the shot put with a mark of 11.18m. In addition, she currently ranks second in the SLIAC in weight throw with a mark of 13.19m.

In the 200m dash, Kamara currently ranks second in the conference with a time of 27.71 seconds. In the 60m dash, Kamara currently ranked third in the conference with a time of 8.20 seconds.

In the mile run, Inman currently ranks sixth in the conference with a time of 7:19.78. In the weight throw event, Rose ranks seventh with a mark of 10.53m. In the shot put event, Rose currently ranks ninth with a mark of 8.35m.

2024-25 SLIAC Indoor Performance List Results:
In the 60m dash and 200m events, Kamara finished 10th overall with a time of 8.23 seconds and ninth overall with a time of 27.77 seconds respectively.

In the one mile run, Inman finished 12th overall with a time of 6:42.51. In the 5000m run, she earned first overall with a time of 23:40.33.

In the shot put, Pavlisko finished fifth overall with a mark of 10.70m while Rose finished 12th overall with a mark of 8.58m.

In the weight throw, Pavlisko finished seventh overall with a mark of 11.97m while Rose finished 10th overall with a mark of 10.59m.

2025 SLIAC Outdoor Performance List Season Results:
In the 100m, Kamara finished seventh with a time of 12.93 seconds and finished 11th in the 200m dash with a time of 27.07 seconds.

In the 1500m and 5000m events, Inman finished 19th overall with a time of 6:10.52 and 11th with a time of 23:28.62 respectively. In addition, Inman finished sixth overall in the 10000m run with a time of 50:32.00.

In the shot put, Pavlisko finished fifth with a mark of 10.89m while Rose placed 14th with a mark of 8.24m. In the discus event, Pavlisko finished 12th with a mark of 24.60m while Rose finished 13th with a mark of 23.67m.

In the hammer event, Pavlisko finished fourth with a mark of 36.88m while Rose finished 11th with a mark of 29.64m. In the javelin, Pavlisko finished 12th with a mark of 23.69m as Rose finished 14th with a mark of 19.21m.

2026 Indoor Schedule:
The Gorloks will compete in their second meet of the season on January 24th competing in the IC Snow Bird Invite hosted by Illinois College. One week later, on January 30-31, the team will compete in the two-day meet at Principia College in Elsah, Illinois.

The following weekend on February 6-7, the team will compete in the two-day meet at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. The Gorloks will continue the indoor season on February 14th competing at Indiana State University and then return back to Illinois College on February 14th. The 2025-26 SLIAC Indoor Championships will be held at Principia College on February 27-28. The Gorloks will close out the season at the 2025-26 NCAA Indoor Regionals on March 6-7 hosted by Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
