Men's Golf Picked To Finish Fourth In 2026 SLIAC Preseason Poll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the 2026 Preseason Poll for the sport of men's golf. The Webster University Gorloks were picked to finish fourth with 102 points.

Webster enters the 2026 spring season returning all eight student-athletes from the first semester. The Gorloks are led by junior Nico Marin where he averaged 75.7 strokes per round over three tournaments in the fall. Marin recorded a low-round of 73 in the opening round at Tunica National Golf Course. Lastly, he fired rounds of 74,75, 76, 76, 76, and 77.

Sophomore golfer Cole Makgill played in all four tournaments in the fall where he averaged 78.3 per round. In addition, he recorded a low-round of 73 twice; Round 2 at Big Blue & Round 2 at Tunica. Makgill also constructed rounds of 74, 76, 78, 78, 79. 81, 82, 83, and 84.

First-year Erik Malmgren played in all four tournaments in the fall and recorded an average of 76.4 per round. He recorded low-rounds of 72 twice; Round 1 at Wabash & Round 2 at Jeff Roope. Malmgren also tallied rounds of 75, 75, 76, 76, 77, 78, 79, 79, and 81.

Thanaphat (Big) Amornjaturaporn played in three tournaments in the fall and recorded an average of 80.6 per round over eight rounds. He recorded a low-round of 78 twice; Round 2 at Wabash and Round 2 at Jeff Roope. Big also recorded rounds of 79, 80, 81, 81, 84, and 84.

Jacob LeBlanc played in three tournaments and recorded an average of 78.7 per round over nine rounds. He recorded a low-round of 75 twice; Round 2 at Tunica and Round 3 at Wabash. Lastly, he posted additional rounds of 76, 77, 80, 81, 81, 82, and 82.

Oscar Petitjean played in one tournament in the fall and recorded an average of 82.5 per round. He recorded rounds of 89 and 76.

Connor Luvin played in one tournament and recorded an average of 78.

Adrien Cambourian played in one round and fired an 89 at Jeff Roope Invitational

The Gorloks will open the 2026 spring season on February 16th at the San Antonio Shoot-Out at TPC San Antonio in Texas.
