Petitjean Records Three-Over 75; Gorloks Ranks Eighth After Second Round of SLIAC Championships.

CASEYVILLE, Ill. - The Webster University men's golf team continued the 2026 SLIAC Championships with the second round on Monday and Tuesday at Far Oaks Golf Club. The Gorloks got through the majority of the course before inclement weather halted tournament play on Monday. The Gorloks resumed play on Tuesday with the final remaining holes. As a team, Webster recorded a team score of 312. 

Senior Oscar Petitjean led the way for the Gorloks with a three-over 75. He opened the second round on hole eight with a bogey but followed up with six consecutive pars. Following a bogey on hole 15, he recorded back-to-back pars on holes 16 and 17. 

On hole 18, he carded his first birdie of the round then took it back with a bogey on hole one. Following that bogey, he recorded four consecutive pars on holes two through five. He took a bogey on hole six and closed out the round with a par on hole seven for the score of 75. For the round, he carded 13 pars, four bogeys, and a birdie. 

Nico Marin added a four-over 76 to the team score as he started the round on hole five with a double-bogey. He then carded a par on hole six and followed up with three bogey. He made the turn and recorded a par on hole 10. Following a bogey on hole 11, he continued the round with seven consecutive pars on hole 12 through 18. 

Marin then followed up with a birdie on hole one and later carded a birdie on hole three. He closed out the second round with a par on hole four for the score of 76. For the round, he carded 11 pars, four bogeys, two birdies, and a double-bogey. 

Thanaphat (Big) Amornjaturaporn contributed a six-over par score of 78 to the team score. He opened the round with back-to-back pars on hole nine and 10 then carded an unlucky double-bogey on hole 11. He continued the round with four consecutive pars on hole 12 through 15. Big then carded a double-bogey and a bogey, but got a stroke back with a birdie on hole 18. 

Big continued the round with six consecutive pars on holes 1 through 6. He closed out the round with two bogeys for the score of 78. For the round, he carded 12 pars, three bogeys, two double-bogeys, and a birdie. 

The native of Sweden, Erik Malmgren rounded out the team score with an 11-over par score of 83. He opened the round on hole seven with a par then carded a double-bogey and a bogey on hole nine. He continued the round with four consecutive pars on hole 10 through 13. He then recorded a bogey on hole 14 then added a par on hole 15. 

Malmgren went three-over par on holes 16 and 17 but followed up with a par on hole 18. He followed up with consecutive bogeys on holes one and two and added back-to-back pars on holes three and four. He closed out the second round with two bogeys for the score of 83. For the round, he carded nine pars, seven bogeys, and two double-bogeys. 

New Zealand native Cole Makgill recorded a 13-over par score of 85. He opened the round on hole six and was four-over through three holes. He then followed up with a par on hole nine then carded two bogeys on holes 10 and 11. He then added a par on hole 12 but went six-over on hole 13 through 16. 
 
Makgill continued the round with a par on hole 17 then recorded an eagle on hole 18. He followed up with bogeys on holes one and two then recorded back-to-back pars on holes three and four. He closed out the second round with a bogey on hole five for the score of 85. For the round, he carded nine bogeys, five pars, three double-bogeys, and an eagle.
