Men's Track Earn Four Top-10 Finishes At Hilltop Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Webster University men's track & field team recorded their final marks / times before the SLIAC Championship by competing in the Hilltop Classic at Illinois College on Friday. Four Gorloks earned a top-10 finish at this meet.

In the high jump, Nkunim Kouame set a new indoor personal record with a clearance of 1.88m that earned third overall. In addition, Thomas Ogata tied his personal record with a clearance of 1.83m that placed eighth overall.

In the pole vault, Mark Govero earned a tie for seventh overall with a clearance of 4.61m. In addition, Elijah Bohler recorded a clearance of 4.16m that placed 12th overall. WU's Ved Patel set a new personal record with a clearance of 3.11m.

In the mile run, Brayden Halter set a new collegiate personal record with a time of 4:34.81 that placed 10th overall. In addition, Simon Muthemba set a new personal record with a time of 4:48.17. WU's Tyler Mooney rounded out the field for Webster with a time of 5:12.50.

In the 400m dash, Nic Richardson was the lone Webster competitor and recorded a time of 54.52.

In the 800m, Gabe Feaman paced the Gorloks with a time of 2:11.91 while Johnny Imboden recorded a time of 2:12.87. WU's Kenneth Louvierre rounded out the field for Webster with a time of 2:22.95.

In the 4x400m relay, the relay team of Richardson, Kouame, Feaman, and Halter recorded a time of 3:41.11.

The Gorloks will travel to Principia College on February 27-28 and compete in the 2025-26 SLIAC Indoor Championships starting at 4:15pm in Elsah, Illinois.
