Kouame Earns First Career SLIAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week Honor

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the names of the student-athletes who were named Men's Field and Track Athletes of the Week for the week of February 16-22. WU's Nkunim Kouame was named the SLIAC Field Athlete of the Week for men's track. 

Last Friday, the Gorloks men's track and field team competed at the Hilltop Classic hosted by Illinois College. At this meet, Kouame recorded a season-best high jump clearance of 1.88m (6-02.00) that earned third overall in the event. 

With that clearance, he currently ranks second in the conference for the event. 

With this selection, it marks his first career SLIAC Field Athlete of the Week honor. 

The Gorloks will be back in action on Friday, February 27th competing in the two-day SLIAC Indoor Championships starting at 4:15pm at Principia College.
