Nic Richardson Wins 400m Dash With New Personal Record, Imboden Sets Two New Personal Records At Jim Green Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The majority of the men's track and field team traveled and competed in the Jim Green Invitational on Saturday hosted by Illinois College. WU's Nic Richardson secured the win in the 400m with a new personal record while Johnny Imboden set two new personal records in the 800m and one mile run.

In the 400m dash, Richardson was the lone Webster competitor in the event, set a personal record with a time of 54.67 seconds, and won first place.

In the 800m event, four Gorloks competed in the event which was paced by Brayden Halter with a time of 2:07.76. WU's Gabe Feaman was the next Gorlok that crossed the finish line as he recorded a time of 2:09.77. Imboden set a new personal record with a time of 2:12.07 while Tyler Mooney rounded out the field for Webster with a time of 2:12.26.

In the one mile run, Imboden set a new personal record with a time of 4:55.47 while Jacob Hawkins recorded a time of 5:37.70.

In the 3000k run, two Gorloks competed in the event which was paced by Ethan Nieroda with a time of 9:27.43. First-year Simon Muthemba set a new personal record with a time of 9:28.50.

In the 60m dash, first-year Juan Gomez set a new personal record with a time of 8.16 seconds

In the 200m dash, Nkunim Kouame was the lone Webster competitor in the event and recorded a time of 25.08 seconds.

In the long jump event, Robin Wong recorded a mark of 6.12m while Thomas Ogata set a new personal record with a time of 5.97m.

In the high jump, Kouame finished second overall with a clearing height of 1.83m while Ogata earned fifth overall with a clearance of 1.78m.

In the triple jump, Wong was the lone competitor for Webster in the event and recorded a mark of 13.13m that placed sixth overall.

In the shot put event, Jahrel Claude-Ennin recorded a mark of 12.30m. In the weight throw, Claude-Ennin recorded a mark of 11.82m.

The Gorloks will compete in the fifth indoor meet of the season on February 14 at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.
