Men’s Tennis Drop Non-Conference Match To Kentucky Wesleyan

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Webster University Men's Tennis team hosted Kentucky Wesleyan College for a non-conference match but fell short by the score of 0-7.

In doubles competition, the number two doubles team of Griffin Olson and Nicholas Granada won their match by the score of 6-3 as that match was the lone match victory for the Gorloks.

In the number one doubles match, the duo of Eli Bartek and Shawn Smith battled but dropped the match by the score of 0-6.

In the number three doubles match, the team of Robin Wong and Jack Forlenza secured two set victories but fell by the score of 2-6.

In singles play, the Gorloks forced two matches to a tiebreaker but fell in all six matches. In the number singles match, Granada won the first set 6-4 but dropped the second by the score of 0-6. In the tiebreaker set, Granada battled but fell by the score of 5-10.

In the number six match, Wong and his opponent battled back-and-forth in the opening set as Wong won the set by the score of 7-5. In the second set, both student-athletes exchanged points as Wong fell by the score of 4-6. In the tiebreaker set, Wong fought hard but dropped the match by the score of 5-10.

In the number one singles match, Bartek earned two set victories but dropped the match by the scores of 1-6 and 1-6.

In the number two match, Olson battled his opponent but fell by the scores of 2-6 and 5-7.

In the number three match, Forlenza fought hard but dropped the match by the scores of 1-6 and 2-6.

In the fifth singles match, Smith won four sets but fell by the scores of 3-6 and 1-6.
