Men’s Tennis Drop UMAC Match To MUW

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Webster University men's tennis team hosted the Owls of MUW for a UMAC match. The Gorloks dropped the match by the score of 0-7.

In the number one doubles match, the team of Eli Bartek and Jack Forlenza went point-for-point against their opponents and forced a tie at 6-6 that forced a tiebreaker set. In the tiebreaker set, Bartek and Forlenza battled hard but fell by the score of 5-7.

In the number two doubles match, the duo of Griffin Olson and Nicholas Granada earned four points but dropped the match by the score of 4-6.

In the number three doubles match, the team of Shawn Smith and Patricio Santos fought hard but dropped the match by the score of 0-6.

In the number one singles match, Bartek fought his opponent closely but dropped both sets by the scores of 5-7.

In the number two singles match, Olson dropped the opening set by the score of 4-6 but responded in the second set with a 6-1 victory that forced a third set. In the third set, Olson earned one point and dropped the match by the score of 1-6.

In the number three singles match, Forlenza secured five points but dropped the match by the score of 1-6 and 4-6.

In the number four singles match, Granada won six points but fell by the scores of 1-6 and 5-7.

In the number five singles match, Smith won three points in the opening set and one point in the second set but dropped the match by the scores of 3-6 and 1-6.

In the number six singles match, Santos won two points but fell by the scores of 2-6 and 0-6.
