Gorloks Tame Panthers, 64-59, Go To 5-0 in SLIAC

Megan Willett Scores 15 to Lead Webster

The Webster University women's basketball team is off to its best start in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in five years after beating Principia College, 64-59, on January 9, in Elsah, IL.  The Gorloks are firmly entrenched in first place in the SLIAC at 5-0. their best start since a 6-0 run in the 2004-2005 season.

Megan Willett (SO, Parkway West HS, STL) came off the bench to spark the Gorloks for the second straight game.  Willett had 15 points to lead Webster, and pulled down six rebound.  Ayrica Lockett (SO, Crossroads Prep, STL) dropped in 12 points and let the Gorloks with eight rebounds.

Webster is 9-4 overall on the season.  The Gorloks are home to take on Fontbonne University on January 13, then take a week off before heading to Greenville College (IL) on January 20.
