The Webster University men's and women's cross-country teams both finished eighth at the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis, TN, on October 1. The meet featured several NCAA I teams including: the University of Memphis, the University of Central Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
The Webster men finished eighth in a field of 10 teams. Dan Henkey (JR, Affton HS) once again led the Gorloks, finishing 31st out of a field of 64. Freshman Jason Hickson (Hillsboro HS, MO) finished just 15 seconds behind Hickson, in 35th place. The complete men's results were:

For the Webster women, Heather Heisse (SO, Buchanan HS, MO) led the team for a second straight meet, finishing in 24:24, good enough for 29th in a field of 77 runners. Jane McKibben (JR, Lindbergh HS) wound up in 36th place, at 224:58. The Gorloks finished eighth in a field of 12 teams. The complete results for the women were:
