Jason Hickson (SO, Hillsboro HS, MO) leading the way with a school 8K record, was one of several members from the Webster University men's and women's cross country teams, running in the St. Louis Fall Classic on October 20.  Hickson ran a 26:41, beating the previous record by 24 seconds.

The Classic, run at Forest Park and sponsored by the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, attracted runners from 12 colleges around the Midwest and non-collegiate entries as well.  Several individuals from the Webster squads ran as a prep run for the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

Hickson bested the 27:05 run by Dan Henkey (SR, Affton HS, MO) just two weeks earlier at the Jackling Jocks Invitational in Rolla, MO.  Hickson's time was good enough for ninth place among the college runners and 20th overall on the men's side. 

For the women, Julie Greenough (JR, Lutie HS, MO) and Jane McKibben (SR, Lindbergh HS, MO) both finished the 5K run in 20:51, finishing 30th and 31st overall.  The 20:51 was a personal best for McKibben in a 5K run.

Both complete squads will run in the SLIAC Championships on October 27 in Hillsboro, IL.
