Box Score On the road against the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference leader proved to be too much for the Webster University women’s basketball team as they lost to Westminster College, 74-58, on February 1, in Fulton, MO. Maggie Zehner (JR, Oakville HS) paced the Gorloks in the loss with 17 points.

Westminster, looking to rebound from its first SLIAC loss of the year last weekend, took a 41-25 halftime lead on the Gorloks. But Webster quickly shaved the lead down to six, 45-39, at the 15.34 mark in the second. The Blue Jays slowly extended the lead back to 14 and held on for the win. Three new members will be inducted into the Webster Athletics Hall of Fame at halftime of the men’s game including two former women’s basketball players, Jeanne Zes Gilbert and Laura Stuhlman Pieter.
