Shooting a second round score of 312, the Webster University golf team finished with a 629 total at the Transylvania Invitational in Lexington, KY, on September 6-7. Brodie Dakin led the Gorloks with a team low score of 72 for the round, and for the tournament.
Dakin (JR, Macomb, IL/Macomb HS) shaved seven strokes off his first round 79 and finished with a team low 151 total for the tournament. Dakin finished tied for 12th in a field of 119 golfers. Tyler Thorman (JR, Macomb, IL/Macomb), who led the Gorloks with a 75 in the first round, shot a 78 to finish at 153. Thorman wound up tied for 24th in the field.
Fighting off windy conditions to shoot a 317 in round one, the team cut off a modest five strokes on day two of the competition. Webster finished in top half of the field, winding up in 11th place out of 24 teams. The full Webster results were:

Webster will be in Wisconsin three days, first for the War-Lok Cup Matches on September 13 in Kohler, WI. Then on September 14-15, the Gorloks will be playing in the Wisconsin Lutheran Fall Invitational, in Hartford, WI.
