The Webster University golf team chopped 19 strokes off its previous round score, shooting a 311 in the third and final round of the TaylorMade Adidas Intercollegiate, on March 11, at Dataw GC in Beaufort, SC.  Tyler Thorman (JR, Macomb, IL/Macomb HS) had a 75 for the round, and wound up in 14th place for the tournament.

Thorman finished the tournament at 231, shooting the low score in all three rounds for the Gorloks.  He was 14th in a field of 87 golfers.  Brodie Dakin (JR, Macomb, IL/Macomb HS) shot a 79 and had the team's second low total for the tournament at 243.

Justin Onken (SO, Easton, IL/Illini Central HS) had a third round score of 77, a  vast improvement from his first two round scores of 86 and 90.  Ian Heizer (SO, Red Bud, IL/Red Bud HS), playing as an individual, shot a team-low 73 in the third round, and the team-low round for the tournament.

Webster finished in eighth place out of 13 teams, moving up three spots in the standings with its final round score.

Head coach Andrew Belsky was happy with the team's improvement.  "Today's effort was much better and got us headed in the direction I expect. Coming out of winter, especially one with as poor playing conditions as we have had, was very difficult for the team. We shook off some rust yesterday, made a few adjustments and played with a lot more confidence today.  I really wish we could've played 18 yesterday and 36 today!"
