Gorlok Alumni Spotlight: Kyler Scott

WEBSTER GROVES - Here is this week's Gorlok Alumni Spotlight highlighting Webster Athletics alumni and what they are doing today and how their Webster experience helped them in their life after college.

Today's 13th Gorlok Alumni Spotlight showcases Kyler Scott, who was a four-year lettermen in men's golf from 2009-13.

During his four years as a Gorlok, Scott, who named to both the Webster Athletics 2010's All-Decade Men's Golf Team and was also named to the SLIAC 2010-19 All-Decade Men's Golf Team, was a four-time All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, including a three-time First-Team All-SLIAC selection. He is one of three Gorlok men's golfers in school history to earn All-SLIAC honors four times. In addition to being a four-time All-SLIAC selection, Scott was also the individual medalist at the 2012 SLIAC Championships and that first place finish earned SLIAC Player of the Year honors.

Scott, who is a native of Culver, Ind., finished his career with a 76.75 scoring average, which is fifth on the school's career charts and recorded six rounds of par or better and  tallied a school record 24 Top 10 finishes and won four tournaments, including the SLIAC individual title in 2012. He played in 84.5 career rounds and that is second most in school history.

He graduated from Webster in 2013 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas, where he owns Hopetown Dental Labs.

Grind in life after school. Work harder than you did in school and it will pay dividends down the road. Be an asset in everything you do as well, it doesn't matter if your working an hourly job or starting a career at your dream job, be an asset.
