WEBSTER GROVES – Webster University Athletics has begun unveiling of its All-Decade Teams from the 2010s as it compiles the best student-athletes across the past 10 seasons (2010-19) in each of Webster's intercollegiate athletic teams. Our eighth team to be unveiled is the 2010-19 All-Decade Women's Basketball Team.
During the decade, the Gorloks posted seven winning seasons and captured three St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championships, made three NCAA Tournament appearances (2011, 2018 and 2020), including two times in the last three years and won just its second-ever regular season SLIAC title during the final season of the decade – 2019-20. The regular season title was the first for the Gorloks since 2002. Along with the SLIAC titles and NCAA Tournament appearances, Webster posted a 154-111 overall record and a 105-62 mark in SLIAC play, including winning at least 10 league games eight times in the decade and ending the decade by winning a school record 16 SLIAC games in 2019-20. Additionally, the team won at least 15 games six times in the decade, including a 20-win campaign in 2017-18 and closing the decade with a 20-8 overall in 2019-20.
Along with the team successes on the court during the last 10 years, that success also translated into recognition for Webster's players as the 11 players on the All-Decade Team earned All-SLIAC honors a combined 24 times, including earning first team honors a combined four times and two players – Katy Meyer and Maggie Zehner – taking home All-SLIAC honors all four years of their time at Webster. In addition, two players – Meyer and
Jaysea Morgan – earned All-American honors in the decade as Meyer was a two-time Jewish Sports Review First-Team All-American in both 2010 and 2011, while Morgan was an Honorable Mention WBCA All-American during the 2019-20 season. Meyer was also a finalist for the Josten's Trophy in 2010-11.
Additionally, eight members of the All-Decade Team earned a combined 10 SLIAC Tournament honors, including three players – Meyer, Taylor Lucas and
Addison Beussink – earning Tournament MVP accolades and Courtney Pursley being named to the All-Tournament Team three times. In addition, the All-Decade Team members were named a combined eight times to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team, including three players – Zehner, Morgan and Cassie Endicott – earning a combined seven of those eight All-Defensive Team nods.
Two members of the All-Decade Team – Zehner and Endicott – took home SLIAC Newcomer of the Year honors and the members of the All-Decade Team earned a combined eight SLIAC Player of the Week accolades and a combined seven selections to the SLIAC Winter All-Academic Team. Three players surpassed 1,000 career points in a Gorlok uniform during the decade with Katy Meyer (1,194 points), Maggie Zehner (1,121 points) and
Jaysea Morgan (1,063 points) all surpassing the 1,000-Point plateau during the 2010s.
Listed below is the 11-member Webster Athletics Women's Basketball Team of the Decade for the 2010s. Players were selected by head coach

Addison Beussink (Jackson, Mo. – 2018-present)
Beussink's Career Stats
One of two current Gorloks to make the All-Decade Team, Beussink has played the last two seasons and earned All-SLIAC honors in both of those years. Along with being a two-time All-SLIAC selection, she has been named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team the past two seasons and was named the Tournament MVP in 2020 after leading the Gorloks to its second tournament title in the last three years. In addition, she has earned two SLIAC Player of the Week honors and is a two-time member of the Webster Tipoff Classic All-Tournament Team, including earning MVP honors as a freshman in 2018-19. Over the last two seasons, Beussink has played 52 games and made 49 starts and has tallied 682 points, pulled down 416 rebounds, has blocked 52 shots and has collected 80 steals. She also is fourth in career double-doubles with 16, including recording 10 double-doubles in 2018-19. The 10 double-doubles are tied for fifth on the school's single season chart. Beussink enters the 2020-21 campaign, sitting fourth in career field goal percentage (50.8 percent), is fifth in career scoring average (13.1), sixth in career blocked shots (52) and 11th in career rebounds (416). Her nine blocked shots this past seasons against Eureka are tied for fourth on the school's single season list.
Cassie Endicott (Bethalto, Ill. – 2011-15)
Endicott's Career Stats
Another strong player from the early in the decade that has earned a spot on the All-Decade Team is Endicott, who lettered at Webster from 2011-15 and was named a three-time All-SLIAC selection (2011-12, 2013-14 and 2014-15) and a three-time member of the SLIAC All-Defensive Team (2011-12, 2013-14 and 2014-15). Along with her three All-SLIAC selections, Endicott was also named the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year in 2011-12 and earned a spot on the Cavallo Tipoff All-Tournament Team two times. In her time at Webster, she played in 90 games and made 87 starts and holds the school's all-time mark in both blocked shots (236) and blocked shots average (2.6) and is third in career free throw percentage (75.4 percent). She scored 873 career points and had 533 career rebounds and blocked a single game school record 12 shots at Blackburn in 2013. Additionally, she is fourth in career starts (87), sixth in career rebounds (533), seventh in career field goal percentage (46.6 percent), ninth in career free throws made (211) and 10th in career scoring (873). While also holding school career marks for both blocked shots and blocked shots average, she holds single season record for both of those stats as she blocked 79 shots in 2013-14 and averaged 2.9 blocks per game in 2013-14.
Naomi Johnson (St. Louis, Mo. – 2018-present)
Johnson's Career Stats
Johnson is the second of two current Gorloks to be named to the All-Decade Team as she has been a two-time All-SLIAC selection since coming to Webster from Greenville University in 2018. In her two seasons as a Gorlok, Johnson has played 47 games and made 46 starts and has tallied 502 points, 104 rebounds, 128 assists and 103 steals. Last season against Westminster, she set a new single game school record for field goal percentage as she shot 100 percent from the floor as she went 7-for-7 from the floor. Her 10.7 scoring average is ninth in school history, while here 2.2 steals average is also ninth on the school's all-time chart. In addition, she made five treys last season at Westminster and those five made treys are tied for second on the school's single season list.
Katy Meyer (Chesterfield, Mo. – 2007-11)

Playing over a span of two decades as she played the final two years of the 2000s and the first two years of the 2010s. During the 2010s decade, she was a two-time All-SLIAC selection, including earning First-Team All-SLIAC status in 2010-11. Overall, she was a four-time All-SLIAC selection as she earned All-League accolades in 2007-08 and 2008-09. Along with her four All-SLIAC selections, she was also the SLIAC Tournament MVP in 2011, a finalist for the Josten's Trophy in 2010-11 and a two-time Jewish Sports Review First-Team All-American in both 2009-10 and 2010-11. Additionally, she was named to the SLIAC Winter Sports All-Academic Team in 2009-10 and 2010-11. In her time as a Gorlok, he played in 102 games and made 99 starts and tallied 1,194 career points, pulled down 663 rebounds, had 132 assists, blocked 57 shots and collected 126 steals. Meyer also holds the school career records for career made 3-pointers (191), career 3-point field goal attempts (483) and career 3-point field goal percentage (39.5 percent) and is second in career free throw percentage (78.5 percent) and career starts (99). She is also third in career scoring (1,194), fourth in career field goals made (423), fourth in career blocked shots (57) and fourth in career rebounding (663). In addition, she holds the school's single season mark for 3-point field goals made (76 in 2010-11) and is tied for school's single season mark in both games played (28 in 2010-11) and games started (28 in 2010-11).
Jaysea Morgan (Fisk, Mo. – 2016-20)
Morgan's Career Stats
Morgan played the final four years of decade and was a two-time All-SLIAC selection in 2018-19 and 2019-20, including earning First-Team All-SLIAC honors in 2019-20. Along with her two All-SLIAC selections, she was named the inaugural SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2019-20 and also named an Honorable Mention WBCA Division III All-American and was selected to the Beyond Sports Division III All-Star Game this past season. In addition, Morgan has been named to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team the past two seasons and was also named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2020. Additionally, she was named the Webster Athletics Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2019-20, has been a two-time member of the Webster Classic Tipoff All-Tournament Team and earned SLIAC Player of the Week honors twice this past season. In her time as a Gorlok, she played in 107 games and 56 starts and tallied 1,063 points, 320 rebounds, 278 assists and 277 steals. She holds school career records for both free throw percentage (82.9 percent) and steals (277) and is also tied for second in career games played (107), sixth in career free throws made (252), sixth in career assists (278), seventh in career points (1,063), eighth in career field goals made (373), eighth in career field goal percentage (44.9 percent) and ninth in career minutes (2,421). Over her final two seasons, Morgan has tallied 634 points, 178 rebounds, 188 assists and 162 steals, including 84 steals in 2018-19, which is tied for third on the school's single season chart.
Aley Lucas (Sullivan, Mo. – 2014-18)

Lucas played four years for the Gorloks near the end of the decade as she lettered at Webster from 2014-18 and earned First-Team All-SLIAC honors in 2017-18. In addition to her first team All-SLIAC honor, she was named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2016-17 and was a SLIAC Player of the Week in 2016-17. As a Gorlok, Lucas, who played alongside her sister and fellow All-Decade Team member, Taylor, played in 95 games and made 51 starts and tallied 720 points, 397 rebounds, 134 assists and 108 steals. She stands sixth in career free throw percentage (73.5 percent), 11th in career field goal percentage (43.2 percent), 12th in career free throws made (189), 14th in career rebounds (397) and 18th in career scoring (720). Her 78.4 free throw percentage in 2017-18 is third on the school's single season chart.
Taylor Lucas (Sullivan, Mo. – 2014-18)

Another four year player in the decade, Lucas lettered at Webster from 2014-18 and in her four seasons, she earned All-SLIAC honors as a junior in 2016-17. Along with her All-SLIAC honor in 2016-17, she was named the SLIAC Tournament MVP in 2018 after helping lead the Gorloks to the tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Lucas, who played alongside her sister and fellow All-Decade Team member, Aley, played in 101 games and made 83 starts and tallied 861 points, 454 rebounds, 174 assists, 53 blocks and 163 steals. In her career, she sits fifth on the school's all-time blocked shot list (53), sixth in career games started (83), seventh in career minutes played (2,483), tied for eighth in career rebounds (454), ninth in career field goals made (367), 10th in career field goal percentage (43.6 percent) and 12th in career scoring (861), steals (163) and assists (174).
Kelsey Miller (Elizabeth, Ind. – 2015-18)
Miller's Career Stats
Miller played three seasons in the decade after transferring from Maryville University in 2015. In her three seasons as a Gorlok, Miller was a two-time All-SLIAC selection in both 2016-17 and 2017-18 and was also a two-time SLIAC Winter Sports All-Academic Team honoree in both 2016-17 and 2017-18. In addition, she earned SLIAC Player of the Week accolades during the 2016-17 season. As a Gorlok, she played in 78 games and made 77 starts and tallied 758 points, 227 rebounds, 157 assists and 166 steals. She is tied for second on the school's all-time 3-point field goal percentage chart (37.2 percent), tied for third on the school's all-time 3-point field goals made chart (115), is 11th in career steals (166), is 15th in points scored (758) and is 16th in assists (157). In a game at Fontbonne in 2016, Miller hit seven 3-pointers and those seven treys are tied for the most in a game in school history and her seven steals against both Finlandia in 2017 and at Blackburn in 2018 are tied for ninth on the school's single game list.
Courtney Pursley (Lonedell, Mo. – 2010-14)
Pursley's Career Stats
Pursley played the first four years of the decade for the Gorloks and in those four years, she was named a two-time All-SLIAC selection in 2012-13 and 2013-14. In addition, she was a three-time selection to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team (2011, 2012 and 2014) and earned Cavallo Tipoff Tournament MVP honors in 2013-14. In her four years at Webster, Pursley played in 107 games and made 52 starts and tallied 869 points, 610 rebounds, 95 assists and 63 steals. Her 610 rebounds are fifth most in school history, while her 16 rebounds at Augustana in 2013 and against Eureka in 2014 are tied for fifth on the school's single game chart. Additionally, she is tied for second in career games played (107), third in career offensive rebounds (246), fourth in career free throws made (298), fifth in career free throw percentage (74.9 percent), 11th in career scoring (869) and minutes played (2,318). Her 259 rebounds in 2013-14 are tops in single season history, while here 28 games in 2010-11 are tied for first in single season history.
Kaliann Rikard (Owensville, Mo. – 2010-14)

Another four year player in the decade, Rikard lettered from 2010-14 at Webster and was named an All-SLIAC selection in 2013-14. In addition, she was named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2014 and also earned a spot on the SLIAC All-Defensive Team in 2013-14. Additionally, she earned a spot on the Cavallo Tipoff All-Tournament Team in 2013-14. As a Gorlok, Rikard played in a school record 108 games and made 76 starts and recorded 696 points, pulled down 389 rebounds, dished out 301 assists and collected 195 steals. Along with holding the school record for career games played, she is third in career assists (301), fourth in career minutes (2,667), fifth in career steals (195), seventh in career free throws made (235), tied for 10th in career starts (76) and 12th in career free throw percentage (69.7 percent). Rikard also holds single season school marks for assists (124 in 2013-14), assists average (4.6 in 2013-14) and games played (28 in 2010-11).
Maggie Zehner (St. Louis, Mo. – 2009-13)
Zehner's Career Stats
Zehner played the first four seasons of the decade and in those four seasons, she was a four-time All-SLIAC selection, including earning first team honors in 2012-13. Along with her four All-SLIAC accolades, she was named the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year in 2009-10 and was member of the SLIAC All-Defensive Team in both 2011-12 and 2012-13. In addition, she was a three-time member of the SLIAC Winter Sports All-Academic Team, a member of the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2013 and was a three-time SLIAC Player of the Week in 2012-13. Additionally, was named an Earlaustinjr.com Second-Team All-Area selection in 2012-13. In her time as a Gorlok, she played in 103 games and made 98 starts and tallied 1,121 points, pulled down 390 rebounds, dished out 284 assists and collected 190 steals. Is the school's all-time leader in minutes played (3,049) and is second in career 3-point field goals made (135), third in career 3-point field goal attempts (407), third in career games played (98), fourth in career points scored (1,121), fifth in career free throws made (272), fifth in career assists (284), fifth in career free throw attempts (386) and eighth in career steals (190). She also is the school's single season leader in minutes played (953 in 2012-12) and is tied for second in career 3-point field goals made (52 in 2012-13).
