BELLEVILLE, Ill. - For the second consecutive week and 12th time in his collegiate career, Webster University senior Will Hocker (Grapevine, Texas/University of Oklahoma) was named this week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week by the league office on Thursday morning.

Hocker earns the SLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the second straight week and the 12th time in his Webster career, including the sixth time since the beginning of the 2019-20 school year. 
 

The 2019-20 PING Division III All-American repeats as this week's SLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week after placing in a tie for 12th among 69 golfers at the Lindenwood University Invitational held at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in Weldon Springs, Mo. At the two-day, 54-hole event, Hocker shot a five-over par 218 to finish in a tie for 12th place. He opened the event by shooting an even-par 70, before carding a 1-under par 70 in the second round and then finishing with a 6-over par 77 in Tuesday's final round. Dating back the beginning of last season, Hocker has been Webster's top finisher in seven of their last nine events. 

Hocker's play helped the Gorloks take home fifth place honors at the event that featured nine NCAA Division II schools and two Division III schools. Webster finished the tournament with a 54-hole team score of 893 as they were three shots in front of sixth-place Millikin, who shot an 896 and five shots behind fourth place Missouri S&T, who carded an 888 for 54 holes. 

Hocker and the Gorloks, who earned a vote in the most recent Division III Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll, are set to return to play on April 1-2 as they will compete in the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational that will be held at the Ironwood Golf Club in Normal, Ill.
