ST. LOUIS, Mo. – This afternoon the Golf Coaches Association of America announced the Bushnell/Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll. The Gorloks received four votes in the poll to rank them 40
th overall. Emory (Ga.) University comes it at number one in the poll after receiving 17 of the 20 first place votes.
Webster will look to carry over their momentum into the spring season after finishing up their fall season with a second-place finish at The Wittenberg Classic. The Gorloks took second place out of 10 teams in the event after shooting a 299 in the first round and a 292 in the second round for a total team score of 591 (+31).
Will Hocker picked up his ninth career win in the tournament as he shot a 141 (+1) through 36 holes of golf.
The Gorloks played three other events in the spring including a ninth-place finish in the Transylvania Fall Invitational, a fourth-place finish at the Rhodes College Fall Classic, and a 3
rd place finish at the Millikin Country Club Classic.
The Gorloks will kick off their spring season on Saturday, February 26
th when they travel to Joelton, Tennessee, to compete in the Music City Classic hosted by the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.). The Gorloks will play two rounds on Saturday and one round on Sunday, February 27
th at Nashville National Golf Club.
