ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University men's golf team is receiving votes in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll. They currently sit 41
st overall in the poll after receiving one point. Emory (Ga.) University is ranked at the top of the poll with 482 points.
Webster won their only tournament of the spring thus far as they finished in first place out of four teams at the Music City Shootout hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at the Nashville National Golf Course. The team shot a 36-hole score of 572 (+12) including a 273 (-7) in the second round.
Will Hocker led the way for the Gorloks as he shot a school record 128 (-12) through 36 holes of golf. He shot a 61 (-9) in the second round which was just one stroke off the course record of 60.
The Gorloks will return to the course on Monday, March 21
st when they travel to Weldon Springs, Missouri, to compete in the Lindenwood Invitational hosted by Lindenwood (Mo.) University at Missouri Bluffs Golf Club. They will play 36 holes on Monday and the final round on Tuesday, March 22
nd.
