SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Webster University men's golf team was back in action over the last two days when they traveled to Springfield, Ohio, to compete in the Wittenberg Classic at Springfield Country Club. The Gorloks finished in third place out of 13 teams after shooting a two-round team score of 601 (302-299, +25).

Justin McCoy and Jan Antonin Wdowka led the way for Webster as they both finished in a tie for seventh place after both shot two-round scores of 147 (+3). McCoy shot a 76 (+4) in the first round and a 71 (-1) in the second round while Wdowka shot a 74 (+2) in the first round and a 73 (+1) in the second round. Wdowka finished with a team high 23 pars and five birdies while McCoy recorded 21 pars and a team high seven birdies.

Nico Marin and Logan Forister were not too far behind as they both finished in a tie for 24^th. Marin shot back-to-back 77's (+5) while Forister shot a 76 (+3) in the first round and a 79 (+7) in the second to both record a 154 (+10). Marin finished with 18 pars and six birdies while Forister recorded 22 pars and three birdies.

Josh Hayes was the final scored competitor for Webster as he finished with a two-round score of 155 (+11). He shot a 76 (+4) in the first round and a 79 (+7) in the second round. He had 18 pars and five birdies for the tournament.

Trent Garrett competed as an individual for Webster and also finished in a tie for 24^th after shooting a 154 (+10). He shot a 78 (+6) in the first round and a 76 (+4) in the second round. He finished the tournament with 20 pars and four birdies.

Wittenberg (Ohio) University won the event after finishing with a team score of 573 (292-281, -3). J.F. Aber and Josh Wright, both from Wittenberg, finished tied for first after both shot a 142 (-2).

This marks the end of the Gorloks fall season. They will return to the course in February when they compete in the DIII San Antonio Shoot.
