Rodgers Named All-Region VIII

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – This morning the United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced the 2023 USC NCAA Division III Women's All-Region teams. For her efforts on the field this past season, Grace Rodgers was named Second Team All-Region VIII for the for the first time in her career. This is her second straight season being named USC All-Region VIII as she earned third team honors in 2022.

Rodgers, a junior out of O'Fallon, Missouri, had a great season for the Gorloks as she helped lift her team to their 16th SLIAC Regular Season Title and an unbeaten regular season record in conference play. She finished the year with nine goals and a team high five assists for 23 total points. In conference play, she finished second in the SLIAC with seven goals while finishing tied for the conference lead with 17 points. She recorded three or more points three times this season including five points against Blackburn (Ill.) and five points against Lyon (Ark.). Following the conclusion of the season, Rodgers became the eighth Gorlok in program history to be named the SLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year while also earning First Team All-SLIAC honors for the second straight season. In addition, Rodgers was named SLIAC Academic All-Conference and was named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® honoree.

"Grace played at a very high level consistently throughout the season," said Head Coach Luigi Scire. "She is very deserving of this recognition."

Rodgers, along with Samantha De La Cruz from Greenville (Ill.) University, were the only two student-athletes from the SLIAC that were recognized as All-Region VIII. De La Cruz was named to the third team.
