Women’s Soccer Earn Seven All-Conference Selections

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the names of the student-athletes who were selected to an individual award or All-Conference team for the sport of women's soccer. Seven Gorloks were selected to an All-Conference team; three First Team and four Third Team honorees. 

Webster earned three First Team All-Conference which includes junior forward Malaya Blakely, senior midfielder Payton Montana, and sophomore midfielder Mia Smith.

Blakely, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana earned her first career First Team and second career All-Conference selection where she finished the regular season with four top-10 conference statistics. Blakely finished tied first in the conference with six assists (team-high) which included an average of .750 assists per game, tied for sixth with 14 points (second on team) for an average of 1.75 points per game, tied for seventh with 27 shots (third on team) for an average of 3.38 shots per game, and tied for eighth with 13 shots (third on team) on goal for an average of 1.63 shots on goal per game.
 
Montana, a local product from St. Louis, Missouri earned her first career First Team and second career All-Conference selection where she finished in the top-10 of five conference statistical categories. Montana tied for second with 19 shots on goal (tied team-high) which included a 2.38 shots on goal average per game, third in the conference with 31 shots (team-high) for an average of 3.88 shots per game, and tied for third with two game-winning goals. In addition, she tied for fourth with 15 points (tied team-high) which includes a 1.88 points per game average, and tied for fourth with six goals (tied team-high) which included a .750 goals per game average. 

Smith, a local product from Union, Missouri earned her second consecutive First Team All-Conference selection where she ended the season inside two top-10 conference statistical categories. Smith finished tied for second in the conference with 19 shots on goal (tied team-high) for an average of 2.38 shots on goal per game, tied for fourth with 29 shots (second on team) which included a 3.63 shots per game average. In addition, she recorded four goals and three assists for 11 points in eight conference games. 

The Gorloks earned four Third Team All-Conference selections which included senior forward Mayrin Soto, sophomore midfielder Riley Cappozzo, junior defender Jasmine Hubbard, and senior defender Sienna Inouye.

Soto, a native of Flagstaff, Arizona caps off her collegiate career with her first All-Conference selection where she Scored four goals (one game-winner) while adding two assists for 10 points. In addition, she recorded 16 shots that included seven on goal. 

Cappozzo, a local product from St. Louis, Missouri earned her second consecutive Third Team All-Conference selection where she recorded 10 shots (one on goal) and two assists for two points in seven conference games. 

Hubbard, a native of Louisville, Kentucky earned her first career Third Team and second career All-Conference selection as she helped anchored the Gorloks defense to four regular season conference shutouts. In addition, she recorded two shots and one assist for one point in seven conference starts. 

Inouye, a native of Kaneohe, Hawaii caps off her senior year with her first career All-Conference selection as she helped the Gorloks defense allow just a 1.11 goals against average per game. In addition, she recorded four shots on goal, two goals, and one assist for five points in eight starts. 
 
Every year, the SLIAC awards one student-athlete from each institution that displays the ideals of sportsmanship that include fairness, civility, honesty, unselfishness, respect, and responsibility. This year, Sienna Inouye was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
