Montana Earns SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the names of the student-athletes who were named Player of the Week for the week of October 13-20. WU's Payton Montana had a fantastic week on the pitch and was named SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer. With this selection, it marks her first of the season and fourth of her Gorlok career.

During the week of October 13-20, the Gorloks played in two conference matches against MUW and Lyon College and secured 5-0 and 2-1 victories.

In the match against MUW, Montana recorded a career-high 12 shots that included a career-best seven shots on goal. In addition, she scored the game-winning goal in the fifth minute and tallied an assist on the goal by Lucy Elfrink in the final seconds of regulation.

In the match against Lyon College, Montana recorded the game-winning goal in the 80th minute for the 2-1 victory.
