ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University women's basketball team is receiving votes in the WBCA Division III Coaches Poll for the fourth straight week. They received 11 points in the poll to put them just two spots out of the 25
th spot. In addition, the Gorloks are also ranked seventh in the NCAA Region VIII Rankings.
The Gorloks are currently 21-2 on the season and 11-1 in SLIAC play. On Saturday, they defeated Principia (Ill.) College to capture their fourth straight SLIAC Women's Basketball Regular Season Title and their fifth title in program history.
Webster currently ranks in the top 10 nationally in six statistical categories. They rank eighth in assists per game (18.0), fifth in field goal percentage (.461), 10
th in total points (1,855), eighth in scoring offense (80.7), sixth in turnovers forced per game (27.17, and eighth in winning percentage (.913). They also rank 16
th in scoring margin (20.6), 14
th in steals per game (14.8), and 16
th in turnover margin (8.00).
The Gorloks are in action tonight, February 15
th when they host the Blackburn (Ill.) College Beavers for a SLIAC matchup. The game will start at 5:30 p.m. in Grant Gymnasium.
