McCoy Earns Weekly Award

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the Player of the Week awards for the week ending on Sunday, April 16th. For his efforts at the Spalding University Spring Invitational, Justin McCoy was named the SLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week.

McCoy, a junior out of Savoy, Illinois, captured his second career win over the weekend. He shot a two-round score of 143 (69-74, -1) to edge out Kendall Hale from Spalding (Ky.) University by just one stroke. His first-place finish helped secure second place in the tournament as the team shot a two-round score of 606 (390-315, +30). McCoy finished his first round with four birdies and an eagle and then went on to shoot two birdies and 13 pars in the second round. This is his second career SLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week award.

The Gorloks will return to the course on Sunday, April 23rd when they host the SLIAC Men's Golf Championship. The three-day event will take place from April 23rd to April 25th at Far Oaks Golf Course in Caseyville, Ill.
