ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were announced this morning. For their efforts in the classroom and on the track this past season,
Christian Gray and
Caleb Fletcher were honored on the men's side while
Micah Barnes,
Isabelle Llewellyn,
Kianna Patton, and
Abigail Szydlowski were all honored on the women's side.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field / Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
In order to be nominated for the award, student-athletes must have completed at least one full year at the university, they must have above a 3.5 GPA, they must be a starter or key reserve, and they must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's meets.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 28 (women) and June 29 (men).
