Women’s Basketball Schedule Released

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The 2023-24 Webster University women's basketball schedule has been released. The Gorloks will open their season with the Webster Tip-Off Classic on Friday, November 10th and Saturday, November 11th. They will play Belhaven (Miss.) University on Friday and either Anderson (Ind.) University or Milwaukee (Wis.) School of Engineering on Saturday. The Webster Tip-Off Classic will take place in Grant Gymnasium.

The Gorloks will hit the road for their next two games. They will travel to Jacksonville, Illinois, on Wednesday, November 15th to take on Illinois College at 7 p.m. They will then open conference play in Fulton, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 21st when they take on Westminster (Mo.) College in a rematch of last years SLIAC Championship Game. The game is set to start at noon.

The team will return home the weekend after Thanksgiving as they will host Augustana (Ill.) College on Saturday, November 25th and Central (Iowa) College on Sunday, November 26th. Augustana finished last season with a 19-9 overall record and finished the regular season ranked fifth in Region VIII. The games will both start at 1 p.m. in Grant Gymnasium.

The Gorloks will play three conference games to start December including a 1 p.m. tip-off against Westminster (Mo.) College on Saturday, December 2nd in Grant Gymnasium. They will then travel to Eureka (Ill.) College on Wednesday, December 6th and to Greenville (Ill.) College on Saturday, December 9th.

Webster will wrap up nonconference play with matchups against Monmouth (Ill.) College and Centre (Ky.) College. They will take on the Scots on Friday, December 15th in Monmouth, Illinois, at 5 p.m. and then host the Colonels on Friday, December 29th in Grant Gymnasium.

The team will play nine games in the month of January including trips to new conference opponents Mississippi University for Women and Lyon (Ark.) College. The Gorloks will take on Mississippi University for Women on Thursday, January 18th in Columbus, Mississippi, at 5:30 p.m. They will then travel to Batesville, Arkansas, on Saturday, January 20th to take on Lyon (Ark.) College at 1 p.m.

The Gorloks will play their final game of the regular season on Saturday, February 17th when they host Lyon (Ark.) College at 1 p.m. in Grant Gymnasium. This game will serve as Senior Day for the Gorloks.

The SLIAC Tournament is set to take place from February 20th to February 24th.
