ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Webster University women's basketball team has been ranked in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll for the first time since the 2001-02 season coming in at 25^th. The team also moved up three spots to 22^nd in the WBCA Coaches Top 25 Poll after being ranked 25^th in each of the last two weeks.

The Gorloks are currently 23-0 on the season and 16-0 in SLIAC play. They have captured their fifth straight SLIAC Regular Season Title and have earned the top seed in the conference tournament. The team will start postseason play on Friday, February 23^rd at 7:30 p.m. when they host the lowest remaining seed in the SLIAC Semifinals.

The Gorloks are one of just four teams in all of Division III women's basketball to be undefeated and are one of just five undefeated teams across all NCAA women's basketball levels. They currently rank in the top five nationally in five statistical categories including scoring offense (84.1), scoring margin (29.7), steals per game (17.7), turnover margin (15.96), and turnovers forced per game (32.04). They also rank in the top 10 nationally in field goal percentage (46.9%) and free throws attempted per game (22.65).

Julie Baudendistel leads the way for the Gorloks as she is averaging a team high 16.0 points per game while shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor. Kate Rolfes (12.6 PPG), Bethany Lancaster (12.5 PPG), and Emily Wilson (12.1 PPG) are also averaging double figures while Lancaster is averaging a team high 7.3 rebounds per game. Jordyn Grimes is leading the team defensively with 65 steals while Nysa Gilchrist has dished out a team high 55 assists.

The Gorloks will be back home for their final two games of the regular season starting with a matchup on Thursday, February 15^th against the Mississippi University for Women at 5:30 p.m. They will then take on the Lyon (Ark.) College Scots for Senior Day on Saturday, February 18^th.
