ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the SLIAC Women's Basketball All-Conference teams, as well as the superlative awards, for the 2023-24 season. For their efforts this season, Julie Baudendistel and Bethany Lancaster were named First Team All-SLIAC, Kate Rolfes was named Third Team All-SLIAC, Nysa Gilchrist and Bethany Lancaster were named to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team, and Mariana Brick was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship team. In addition, Jordan Olufson was named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year while Emily Wilson was named the SLIAC Sixth Woman of the Year.

Olufson led his team to a perfect 25-0 overall record and an 18-0 mark in conference play this season. The teams undefeated regular season was their second in three years as the Gorloks went 23-0 in the 2021-22 regular season. His team captured their fifth straight SLIAC Regular Season Title and earned the top seed in the SLIAC Tournament. They were ranked in the top 25 of the WBCA Coaches' Poll for the first time in program history while being ranked in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll for the first time since 2001. His team finished the regular season ranked in the top 10 nationally in scoring offense (85.4), scoring margin (29.8), steals per game (17.3), field goal percentage (47.3%), free throws attempted per game (22.40), turnover margin (15.48), and turnovers forced per game (31.44). They also ranked 12^th in free throws made per game (15.68) and 14^th in assists per game (18.0). This marks Olufson's second SLIAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year award in his career.

Wilson, a junior out of Quincy, Illinois, was huge for the Gorloks off the bench this season. She appeared in 24 games for the Gorloks on the year with all but three of those appearances coming off the bench. She finished third on team in scoring as she has averaged 12.8 points per game while grabbing 5.0 rebounds per game. She shot just under 60 percent from the floor on the season while knocking down over 85 percent of her free throws. She also dished out 42 assists while racking up 23 steals and blocking 10 shots. In conference play, Wilson average 11.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while dishing out 32 assists and shooting 59.3 percent from the floor. Her 85.6 percent free throw shooting on the season was the best in the conference. This marks her second straight SLIAC Sixth Woman of the Year award which makes her the first repeat winner in conference history.

Baudendistel, a graduate student out of St. Louis, Missouri, played a key role in the Gorloks success this season. She started all 25 games for Webster this season and led the team in points (15.9), field goals made (155), and minutes (602) while finishing third on the team in rebounding (4.2) and fourth in steals (52). She scored in double figures in all but one game this season including 16 games where she had 15 or more points. She was the Gorloks leading scorer 10 times this season including when she scored a season high 25 points against Greenville earlier this year. In conference play, Baudendistel average 15.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting over 50 percent from the floor. Her 15.9 points per game ranked sixth in the conference. She currently has 1,632 career points which sits second on the Gorloks all-time scoring list. She is just 26 points away from tying the record of 1,658 points set by Angie Carr from 2001 to 2005. This marks her third time being named First Time All-SLIAC.

Lancaster, a senior out of Buffalo, Missouri, was one of the main contributors for Webster this season. She started all 24 games she appeared in this season and finished second on the team in scoring (13.0) while leading the team in rebounds per game (7.2) and blocked shots (22). She also shot 57 percent from the floor while racking up 64 steals and dishing out 37 assists. She finished in double figures 19 times this season while posting a team high four double-doubles. In conference play, Lancaster averaged 13.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while notching 44 steals, 31 assists, and 16 blocks. She finished second in the SLIAC in rebounds per game while finishing fourth in steals. In addition, she was named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week twice this season. This is her second career All-SLIAC selection and her first time being named First Team All-SLIAC and her first time being named to the SLIAC All-Defensive team.

Rolfes, a senior out of St. Charles, Missouri, started all 21 games she played in for the Gorloks this season. She averaged 12.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while knocking down a team high 42 three-point shots on the season. She also recorded 55 steals and 44 assists on the season. In conference play, Rolfes averaged 12.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting just under 40 percent from three and just under 50 percent from the floor. She currently ranks fourth all-time in program history with 117 career three-point shots made. This marks her first career Third Team All-SLIAC selection.

Gilchrist, a junior out of Youngstown, Ohio, started all 25 games for Webster this season. She averaged 5.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game while dishing out a team high 63 assists and racking up 34 steals. In conference play, Gilchrist averaged 6.0 points and 2.6 rebounds per game while dishing out 38 assists and grabbing 20 steals. This marks her second straight season being named to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team.

The Gorloks will return to the court on Friday, February 23^rd when they host the sixth seeded Fontbonne (Mo.) University Griffins for their SLIAC Semifinal matchup. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m. in Grant Gymnasium.
