WASHBURN, Kan. - The Webster University men's track and field team continued the indoor season by concluding day one at the Washburn University Open and Multi's on Friday. Two Gorloks achieved new personal-records at this meet.
In the 60m dash,
Dylan Patterson recorded a new personal-record with a time of 6.99 seconds. In addition,
Steven Aubuchon competed in this event and recorded a time of 7.32 seconds
In the heptathlon, WU's
Austin Merritt competed in four events that included a new personal-record in the 60m dash with a time of 7.10 seconds which secured seventh overall. In addition, he secured the eighth overall spot in the shot put with a mark of 11.32m. He secured 17th overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.73m. In the long jump event, he recorded a clearance of 5.68m.
In the triple jump event, WU's
Robin Wong was the lone Gorloks in the event and recorded a mark of 12.64m
In the pole vault event, WU's
Landon Garland was the lone Webster competitor in the event and recorded a clearance of 4.00m
The Gorloks will conclude the two-day meet with the second day of the events tomorrow February 1, 2025 in Topeka, Kansas.
