WU’s Merritt Concluded Heptathlon With Three Events At Washburn Open and Multi’s

TOPEKA, Kan. - WU's Austin Merritt concluded his two-day heptathlon performance by competing in three events on day two at Washburn Open and Multi's.

In the pole vault event, the Freeburg, Illinois native earned 12th overall with a clearance of 3.88m.

In the 60m hurdles event, Merritt finished 19th overall with a time of 9.74 seconds.

In the 1000m race, he recorded a time of 3.29:47 that secured 26th overall.

The Gorloks will be back in action on Saturday, February 8 participating in the Jim Green Invitational hosted by Illinois College.
